perceptions interpreted to a deeper meaning, analysis through writing and reflection, a personal journey toward self-enlightenment and finding my niche in the ecopsychological puzzle of my world

about me

Amanda | Female | Floridian

I am a senior at Florida State University, double majoring in Editing, Writing, and Media/Psychology. I work part time for a business consulting firm as a receptionist and office assistant. I've recently become acquainted with the concept of ecopsychology, which seeks to develop and understand ways of expanding the emotional connection between individuals and their natural world. I am currently dealing with social anxiety, which I believe is partially attributed to my experiences with an abusive ex-boyfriend. I've started playing ultimate frisbee this year and I've determined that it is one of the elements that has been missing from my life for quite some time, it's one of the only things I feel truly, truly passionate about nowadays. It's taught me a lot and I learn something new each time I play, both about the game and also about life. This blog is a step towards personal reflection and understanding, towards substantiating my views and analyzing the way I process and adapt to the world around me. It is, and always will be, a work in progress.
